The Retired Senior and Volunteer Program (RSVP) is one of the largest volunteer networks in the nation for people 55 and over. They use the skills and talents learned over the years, and also develop new ones, while serving in a variety of volunteer activities within our communities.
RSVP volunteers choose how, where and how often they want to serve, with commitments ranging from a few hours to 40 hours per week. Volunteers receive pre-service orientation, training from the organization where they will serve and supplemental insurance while on duty. RSVP volunteers do not receive monetary incentives, but sponsoring organizations may reimburse them for some costs incurred during service.

It's been a little while, but I’m excited to announce that I’m back from maternity leave! 🍼✨ HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!! Our in-school mentoring programs are officially underway for this school year! Have you ever wanted to be a part of a student's life but are not sure what help is needed or how to get started? Our mentors help students with their literacy skills for as little as 30 minutes a week. It's both rewarding for the mentors and students! Over 21 soups were served today at Allen Eiry Senior Center's annual soup cook off and boy was it fun volunteering with this bunch. Thanks to everyone who came out!
